Our 'adult' axolotls
Meet 'Akka', 'Blakka' and 'Jakka' our three adult Axy's. We started off with the two
girls, Akka and Blakka thinking that Akka was a boy (named after AFL footy
player Jason Akermanis)!! We had hoped for babies for awhile but it didn't
eventuate so we went to a pet store for some advice. We did have a feeling that
if anything we had two girls so we took the plunge, bought Jakka (pictured
above), and bingo!!!

Axolotls have great personalities and if you can see past their 'ugliness' you will
find a cute personality packed little creature.

Our babies
In September 2010 we noticed hundreds of eggs floating around the tank, and
we realised we needed to do some research and quickly!! Check out our
breeding page for our experiences of raising 208 baby axolotls.

NEWS!!!!
In July 2011 Akka became the proud mum of 500 (roughly) eggs that are now
developing into little baby axolotls!!! Proud human parents 'Lilly'and Zoe' are doing a
great job looking after the new axolotl family!!!
